New Year's Eve Party

Welcome in the New Year with entertainment from The Groove, plus a buffet and disco.

This duo comprises two musicians/performers who between them have a vast experience of the music and entertainment business.
Both have performed at prestigious venues all over Europe and the UK. Alan Watson (guitar and vocals) and Graham Price (guitar and vocals) have worked with artistes as diverse as Chuck Berry, Cilla Black, Russell Watson, Ken Dodd, Les Dennis, Alvin Stardust, Kid Creole, Lovelace Watkins (remember him) through to Ricky Tomlinson, John Bishop and Hollywood actor Stephen Graham and are excellent performers in their own right.

Both have performed on television, radio, and have featured on many singles and albums recording in many recording studios including Abbey Road. Graham and Alan have backed many local artistes including: David Alexander, Claire Sweeney, Danny Roman, Pauline Daniels, Asa Murphy, Billy Butler and Wally Scott to name but a few.

As well as backing other artistes, Alan and Graham were members of many well known local bands including Gaz and the Groovers, The Danny Mannix Trio, Casino, Charlie Boy, Contrast, Farons Flamingos, Supercharge, The A Team, Junior Parker & the House Rockers and Soul Patrol plus many more too numerous to mention.

The Groove play a mixture of well known songs ranging from the past five decades including songs by artistes including The Eagles, Eric Clapton, Wilson Picket, Barry White, Dire Straits, The Righteous Brothers, Bryan Ferry, Ronan Keaton, The Temptations, Tony Christie, Chuck Berry, The Mavericks, Queen and many more.

More recently Alan and Graham have been involved with film and stage productions, including One Night in Istanbul, Under The Mud, 15 Minutes That Shook the World, Brick Up the Mersey Tunnels 2 and Reds and Blues, (the ballad of Dixie and Kenny). Also in 2004 a program Alan produced the sound for was nominated for a BAFTA and work he did for Radio City was nominated for a Sony Radio Academy Award (the radio equivalent of the Oscars).
